Description of goods and services:

HD Global is a business that import, distribute and sell various products to private and commercial segments of the market in Southern Africa. Products include, but are not limited to, consumer electronics, specialized lighting equipment, mobile power solutions and photographic camera and gear bags.

HD Global operates from the Western Cape with 2 offices situated in Belville, and Constantia. HD Global Trading is the Official Import and Distribution partner for all Profoto lighting products from Profoto AB in Sweden, as well as DX2 Mobile Power Solutions from China. HD Global delivers countrywide to both end-users and resellers. Our supply chain include (but are not limited to) the following segments:

·      Schools and tertiary institutions

·      Medical facilities

·      Rental companies

Ordering and delivery logistics

Cost of delivery and ETA for stock arrival

We offer a reliable and trusted delivery service via a 3de party services provider. Unless otherwise specified (excluding non-stock and special order items) delivery will take 3 - 5 business days from date of order. We will require your full daytime address for a door-to-door service, upon which a tracking number will be provided on order confirmation. All goods are fully covered and insured by HD Global until signed for on date of delivery. Clients who wish to have their goods collected can opt to do so, and the delivery cost will be credited from the final invoice. 

*Terms of delivery and delivery cost

  • Items listed on this website with a price of over R 5000 already include free     delivery with a maximum volumetric weight not exceeding 10kg. HD Global reserves the right to amend the delivery cost if the volumetric weight exceed the specified allowance. 

  • If your delivery address falls outside the main delivery zones in South Africa, a revised quote will be provided via email. The client reserves the right to accept or reject this revised quotation. 

  • The 3 – 5 day delivery period are estimates and subject to external factors like strikes, breakdowns, flight restrictions and adverse weather conditions.

  • Parcels will only be prepped and sent on days defined as “business days” as specified above. Orders that are checked out on public holidays will only be prepped on the next applicable business day.

  • Parcels can only be delivered to a physical address where a recipient can sign for receiving the goods. No postal deliveries will be processed. 

Delivery T&C’s

HD Global will endeavor to deliver your parcel as quickly as possible from date of checkout, but in some cases these deliveries may be delayed due to circumstances out of our control. In the event that a delivery will be delayed, we will contact you via SMS or email to notify you of this delay with a revised date of delivery.

Warranties 

All the products that are sold on this platform are legally imported under license from the international suppliers. HD Global does not supply or sell any ‘grey” products. 

Unless otherwise specified, all new products will carry a 1-year warranty from date of purchase. This exclude all pre-owned or demo equipment.  

Stock Returns and refunds

Stock that are advertised on this website is subject to availability. In the event that an item or multiple items are not available, we will notify you as soon as the order confirmation is received on our side. The option will be offered to you to either cancel the order, or to place the ordered items on backorder for later delivery. In the event that you request a refund, the money will be transferred back to you within 7 business days, or as soon as the funds havefully cleared in our account. The 7-day delay in refund is to make provision for fraudulent refund claims. 

If an order is cancelled where stock was not an issue, a 5% administration fee will be deducted from the refund

Customer Privacy Policy
HD Global Trading shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Payments to HD Global

Payment can be made via EFT or cash into the HD Global Trading bank account, the details of which will be provided on request. No American Express or Diners Club cards can be accepted. Goods will only be shipped once all funds have fully cleared in HD Global’s bank account

Credit Card transactions & Security

Credit Card payments (Debit Cards) can be facilitated on collection of goods from our Constantia office. Please contact us to make prior arrangements. 
Merchant Outlet Country & Transaction Currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is ZAR (South African Rand).
Responsibility
HD Global takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer services and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.Country of Domicile

Product return policy and logistics

HD Global is a well established Importer, Distributor and Reseller of a range of goods, and we are confident that you will be pleased with any of the options from our web portal. In the event that you wish to return a product, or made an incorrect selection, we ask that you review the below terms for the correct policies and protocol in order to return stock to us. 

Returns are dealt with by either replacing the item with another variant, repairing the damaged product, crediting your account or a refund. 

We are committed to operating our business in terms of the Consumer Protection Actand all policies are subject to the applicable law. 

NB: Some products (special imports) may not be subject to a return option, so be sure to confirm this with us before committing to an order. 

PS: Note that the Return Policy is subject to HD Global’s T&C’s, and unless the context indicates otherwise, its terms apply. Also, note that the Return Policy does not apply to Used Equipment and Special Imports. 

 Evaluating your return:

 ·      Upon return, HD Global will inspect your goods with specific reference to the claim and reason for return. In the event that the inspection is in conflict of the reason given for the return, HD Global reserves the right to reject the return within the guidelines of the CPA. 

·      In the event of a refund, the claim will be settled and refunded to you within 10 business days, or as soon as the money have fully cleared in HD Global’s account. 

·      A default of 5% will be deducted for all refunds as well as all courier cost incurred.

·      Goods will only be considered for a refund if:

1.    The package/packaging has not been opened at all

2.    No visible damage to the item or product

3.    No usage or any sign of usage is visible on the product

4.    The items must not have been a “special order” items or non-stock item. 

Preparing Your Product For Return

We will refund or exchange most goods (stock dependent) if you return them within 7 days of purchase. You will need to provide your original invoice, and all related items pertaining to the original purchase. 

Return checklist

·      All items must be returned in its original packaging with no damage to the packaging or content

·      Your return must include the original invoice

·      All accessories, manuals, cables and related accessories must be included with your return

*Failure to adhere to the above may result in a rejected return claim

Exchanges

 Products can be exchanged for a different color or size variant within 7 working days provided that the goods are unopened and unused. The original goods must also not be special order items. Exchange requests must be logged within 48 hours of delivery. HD Global will have the goods collected from you with a nominal collection/delivery fee added for payment. In the event that the exchanged item is of a higher value than the original delivery, the balance due must be settled in full before the new item will be shipped to you.  

Incorrect product delivered to you

In the event that we accidentally delivered the wrong product to you, you need to notify us within 48hours from date of delivery. We will have the parcel collected from you, and replace as soon as possible with the correct variant.  Please make sure that the parcel is packaged and secured for collection by our courier company. The package and goods must also be unopened and in its original state. All returns and exchanges will be subject to a full inspection from HD Global for usage and damage. No return or exchange will be considered if a product has been used or show any signs of use. Please also ensure that all accessories and manuals are included in your exchange/return.  

Damaged/incomplete products

If an item/parcel s delivered to you with clear signs of damage, or have any missing accessories, you need to notify us within 48hours from delivery. The goods will either be collected or replaced by us, or the missing accessories will be sent within 7 business days from date of log.  All returns based on damaged or missing goods will be subject to inspection from HD Global.  

Defective products

In the event that a product does not work or malfunctions, a return request must be logged within 7 business days from date of delivery. The goods will be replaced with a brand new unit (stock dependent). Return request for defective goods that are logged after 7 business days will be subject to a warranty repair. All returns that are logged under “out of box failure” of defective goods will be subject to inspection and testing from HD Global.   

The following are not considered to be “defective” or faulty goods, so be sure to describe the nature of the product failure in detail:

1.    Normal wear and tear

2.    Any form of negligence, incorrect application, water damage, impact damage, or any other unnatural stresses put onto the product.

3.    Electrical surges causing PC Boards and Capacitors to blow

4.    Any unauthorized alterations or modifications

Warranty

The standard warranty for all products listed on this website is 12 months from date of purchase. Please note that products cannot be returned for warranty repairs or replacements if the product shows any signs of the above points relating to usage and negligence. In the event of a warranty claim, the goods need to be returned to us for evaluation and full inspection. A damage report will be sent to you via email that shows the full extent of the damage of fault with the action required from your side, or the actions offered from HD Global’s side.  In the event that a product is not covered by the standard warranty, you are welcome to request s specific damage report addressed to your insurance company for claims.
